The Lay z spa Miami relaxing is an inflatable plastic hot tub that comes with air jets. Air bubbles circulate your body for an experience.  It is made from a puncture-proof and tear-resistant material to hold up to the wear and tear of outdoor or indoor use. It also has a water filtration system that pumps 4500 litres of bubble heated, filtered water per hour.

It comes with an insulation cover that shuts out the cold so you can enjoy spa therapy all year long.

The Lay z spa Miami includes an insulated ground cloth and cover used to hold in heat. This allows for more comfortable seating and faster heating. The Lay-Z-Spa also comes with a thermal ground cloth to place underneath your Lay-Z Spa should you wish to use it outdoors during the winter months.

The Lay-Z Spa Miami also has two built-in heating coils that run underneath the water to heat it evenly so you can enjoy your spa experience longer. 

3. Easy to clean system 

A built-in easy-to-clean filtration system means removing debris from your spa is quick and simple. Simply unclip the filter cartridge, pull out the debris basket and empty it into the bin. That’s all there is to it! You won’t need any tools or plunging rods, just your hands.

The heat packs are specially designed to fit right inside your spa for luxurious warmth straight after inflating. The foam insulation surrounding the heat packs will maintain their temperature long after they are switched off too!

Before inflating your Lay-Z Spa, make sure the ground is level and clear of stones or debris so that when filled, it’s stable and secure. Once inflated, add a generous layer of protective thermal insulation underneath the Lay-Z Spa cover to ensure maximum warmth retention. 

Then fill your spa up with clean fresh water using a hosepipe, making sure there are no sharp objects close by which could puncture/damage anything on the outside of the spa shell! When filling up your hot tub, avoid splashing water onto the plug and connector. Then attach your filter pump to the Lay z Spa, this should already be fitted onto your spa at the factory before it is boxed up for delivery. 

Next, simply turn on your filter pump to begin water circulation. Once you have connected all hoses provided, pull out the outer cover once again and place the insulation sheets over the top of each other so that they overlap fully with each maximum coverage area. 

You can then slip these into the pockets under your Lay-Z spa cover, ensuring that they are evenly spaced to push air pockets out as you work around the perimeter of the hot tub. Ensure any excess air is forced out of pocket areas before attaching cover back onto spa shell, ensuring a snug fit round.

Warning: Once water is filled into the pump, it will not be able to deflate. If you disconnect or accidentally lose power, which may cause the unit to deflate in an uncontrolled manner, please ensure that all children and pets are moved away from the area before attempting deflation.

It is recommended for best results not to store above freezing point or outside in winter months. 

Lay-Z Spa Miami location

The Lay z Spa can be used outside during the warm summer months but should not be left outdoors for more than 48 hours; this is because of its plastic shell, which prevents water from seeping through. To use it outside during the winter months, we recommend purchasing additional insulation underneath the spa and preventing the pipes from freezing.

You can also opt to purchase more accessories depending on your needs/wants, which include: 

1. Insulated zipper cover – This protects against rain and sun so that if you do need to keep it outside during the summer months, it will remain protected from the elements at all times. 
2. Wind/rain canopy – This is a temporary measure to help protect your lay-z spa from the rain or sun. It will sit on top of the spa and prevent any water from getting in but can be easily blown away if not secured properly, so we recommend using sandbags to weigh it down.

The warranty for this product is valid only if it is used indoors and does not cover damages caused by rain, snow, or any other natural disasters.  If your Lay z Spa is taken outdoors during the winter months, ensure the water level never drops below halfway. If any debris or dirt enters the spa, it should be removed immediately to avoid affecting the suction of the filter pump.

How to maintain Miami Lay-Z-Spa

Miami Lay-Z-Spa requires regular maintenance to ensure it continues to function properly. 

The manual provided with your equipment lists the recommended schedule for cleaning and maintenance, but here are some general tips that will help extend the life of your spa:

Ensure you clean your hot tub using warm water and a non-corrosive cleaner at least once every two weeks. Don’t forget to scrub the side of your hot tub where dirt can gather, but avoid getting any product on top of or inside the filter cartridge as this may clog it up. Once done, rinse off all surfaces thoroughly to remove any residue. 

To maintain correct temperature levels in your Miami Lay Z Spa, use an electronic thermometer (not included) to regularly check the temperature of the water is between 36 and 40 degrees Celsius. If you notice a sudden drop in temperature, mix some hot water from a tap into the tub to raise it again. Make sure not to overfill as your unit can be damaged if liquids are allowed to enter its pump system – always leave space for air at the top of your spa.

Troubleshooting your Lay-Z spa Miami

If you have any problems with your lay-z spa, follow the steps below to troubleshoot your issue before calling customer services. 

1. The pump cannot be started manually

Ensure enough power is getting to the pump by checking that both sockets are working and secure in their connection.

Ensure the water level in the hot tub is not too high for when it is switched on. It will automatically switch off due to safety measures being activated – this can occur when it detects water spilling out of the filter cartridge or there seems to be a fault with the motor whilst attempting to operate. You can resolve this issue by buying an insulated cover for outside usage, allowing you to bring your Lay Z Spa Miami outside during the winter months without any water getting in (please refer to the warranty for more details).

2. The pump is too noisy

The noise you hear from the motor may be due to low water levels or air entering the pump system. Pumps can sometimes make a gurgling sound when this happens; running the pump dry will damage it and should be avoided at all costs. If there is not enough water in your Lay Z Spa, top-up until the minimum fill line and restart the spa. Ensure that no air enters the pump as this may lead to overheating, which could result in damage, so always check before using the spa.

3. The lights are not working

Make sure the control panel is switched to either low or high depending on how bright you would like your light show to be, then check that it is securely plugged into a working power source. If there seems to be an issue with the lights, but all other functions are working correctly, please contact us for further advice.

4. The temperature of the water has dropped significantly

If your Lay Z Spa’s temperature level falls below 36°C, make sure solar panels are exposed completely and indirect sunlight by adjusting them if required – this will improve efficiency and raise water temperature once more, increasing the effectiveness of spa function. Also, ensure that no debris enters the product as this may affect the suction strength necessary for the pump to function.

5. Water is leaking from the filter cartridge even when no pressure has been applied. 

If your Lay Z Spa still cannot be switched on and you notice water dripping from the bottom of the filter cartridge, unplug it. In most cases, you can resolve this by ensuring that there is enough water in the spa and that all pressure valves are in working order and not blocked by dirt or debris.

6. Spa temperature constantly fluctuates between very hot and cold temperatures

The temperature will automatically fluctuate when someone turns the temperature dial so do check this to see whether it has become moved accidentally. Low or high power mode may be activated if one of these settings remains constant, so check that it is on the desired mode before adjusting again. Ensure no debris enters the unit and that all pressure valves are clear of dirt or any other obstructions that may cause suction to be lost. If this does not resolve your issue, ask for assistance. 

5. My spa Lay z Spa Miami inflates unevenly 

If your hot tub has an air pillow, do not let it deflate completely or re-inflate without any parts being placed on top of them; otherwise, this may result in damage to valves where the cushion meets the ground. To even out pressure points, we advise moving the pillow around to different areas of the spa floor until desired inflation is achieved.

6. Lay Z Spa Miami cover won’t stay up 

If your spa’s air pillow has collapsed fully and you need assistance keeping your cover secure, please contact us for advice as it may be necessary to reinflate or replace this system to prevent damage.   

If your Lay z Spa Miami smells funny If your hot tub water smells as though of chemicals or other substances, please ensure that you are using the correct dosage of chlorine/bromine in accordance with our guidelines outlined in the manual. If you continue to find that there is an unusual smell when using your unit, please contact us for further assistance as these issues are often caused by excessive levels of sanitiser or pH imbalances that can be resolved with assistance. 

7. Lay Z Spa Miami jets are not working correctly 

Most issues here are due to problems with the pump system, so we advise checking this area first before contacting us about spa jets. Ensure all filters have been changed, loose connections are tightened, and any obstruction in pumps is cleared out so as to resolve the issue. This may also help if your Lay z Spa Miami feels slow when you move around, so check this area carefully for potential issues before contacting us for assistance with faulty jets.   

8. My spa has a permanent leak 

If your spa’s air pillow is damaged, it may be necessary to replace this product to prevent further damage. Most of the time, the issue is resolved by changing pump filters or adjusting valves. If you cannot resolve the problem yourself, contact us for further advice.

9. Lay Z Spa Miami stickers are peeling off

For stubborn stains, we advise using an old toothbrush and some gentle washing up liquid on the area and rub off with your thumb – do not use abrasives or chemicals as they can damage the material, causing it to crack or peel over time.

Drain away any excess water from the spa before tipping upside-down on its side to allow any remaining water to drain out (ensuring filter cartridge is lifted above ground level). Ensure that you clean both filters located at either end of the pump system on a regular basis.
